"Vengeance - it's powerful entertainment." Hello my fellow Marvelers and welcome to my watch along live reactions [in words, not voice] to Episode 6 of Vision Quest. I am Axat the Marveler since Iron Man came out in 2008. My sci fi book, An Android Awoke, is the first in my planned trilogy in 42 parts - DNA!
Will this episode focus on an Ultron/Jocasta Synth plotline, or on Saving Private Thomas?
MARVEL, like a few of my favorite things, has a red-and-white color combo. So do my sports teams, but that's another conversation combination for another video. Ultron has hooked up with Jocasta, digitally.
Ad breaks...necessary for corporations, and for me to note down thoughts: Lex-42 is a benevolent synth.
WandaVision! Tommy X Paladin. An autorickshaw is the first thing they see in Madripoor, exiting the murder van after a nice cinema-nerd [cinerd?] conversation about Speed. You know, Keanu-and-Bullock.
Apologies for my typos; I'm slowly losin' my mind like Zakk Wylde sang. "We learn by doing." Abso truthat.
The name of their meeting place, Chimp House Cafe, reminds me of the uniquely constructed Monkey Bar - pun intended, I'm sure, due to their glass menagerie-style architecture - in south Delhi. We went.
Another ad break, with a supposedly funny car ad followed by a graphical overload of supposedly sharp hi definition TV. What good is visual [Visional?] clarity if what you have to say isn't worth listening to?
WandaVision is mentioned again, because Tommy doesn't know that White Vision was created to kill Wanda, his apparent mother of another brother who got the witching part down pat in Agatha's coven.
What or where is the line between needy and greedy? :D I don't want any of the things in THESE ads.
Honda Civic! Now THAT's one of the things I DO want. But now it's obsolete, and the new Curvv is in.
Namaste shouldn't be at the ending of a death countdown lol. 8-bit EDITH saves the day like for Peter.
A Wizard of Oz reference before the big reveal...but not in this episode. Also, killing people in video games doesn't make people homicidal...does it? Drones are weaponized already after USSR-Ukraine.
A hive mind like Jocasta enVISIONs reminds me of Pluribus, which has an alien parasite premise.
Also, Selina, the Mooninite [thnx, ATHF] heroine solo space pilot has a nano-exoskeleton to help her move superhumanly on Moon and normally on Earth's six-times-stronger gravity. Star Wars is not hard sci-fi, which is why it doesn't take different planetary gravities into account in it story-telling plotlines.
"Humanity is greed and chaos by nature." See, this is why I love Marvel's writing. They get to the point.
Lisa becomes the first guinea pig mind-controlled zombie. Tommy's super-speed saves her, and on we go into the future...Limp Bizkit/Fred Durst vibes. Also, using archival [albeit fictional] footage to bridge story gaps visually is something I just saw yesterday in Spider-Man: Across the Multiverse, on Sony. :)
My tendency for fitting formatting into justified paragraphs and sentences is causing me to think harder.
Thank you for wasting your time with mine! ;) Axat the Marveler out for the time being; watch my other videos for a glimpse into how my mind works [or doesn't, occassionally]. Peace out, namaste!
