Live Lightly

Namaste...Today I'm very sad - about the recent deaths at Mata Vaishno Devi. We went there in April 2025 for our 6th marriage anniversary and mundan, because we had pledged it during our previous yatra in October 2021. I am an existentialist, and that is why I quote Ludwig Wittgenstein: "Death is not an event in life: We do not live to experience death. If we take eternity to mean not infinite temporal duration but timelessness, then eternal life belongs to those who live in the present. Our life has no end in the way in which our visual field has no limits." Rest in peace.

To you, I say: don’t worry about the future. Live lightly in the present. Learn from the past. Here I quote Ludwig Wittgenstein again: "I won't say 'See you tomorrow' because that would be like predicting the future, and I'm pretty sure I can't do that." That's why I try my best to live in the present and never constrain myself to specific topics on my YouTube channel, unlike "content creators" looking for subs - the entire universe encapsulates my logical interests.

Verbal alliteration, the human existence, scientific investigation, space flight and exploration, music - specially syllabic rhyming phrases, artistic expression, personal obsessive habits, parenting, origins of consciousness, are all as important to me as football and food. Sometimes I get sad, like today, about far-off events, but we must move on.

Every day I try my best to gain knowledge about everything and express my thoughts about what I’ve experienced cumulatively in life. Technology is a great tool to encourage discourse about everything; how we best use it to further humanity’s future remains to be seen in the future, because I can’t predict anything in the long run, for you or me.

Since all technology is based on mathematics, I deeply respect it. But my mind also fears it greatly. My brain has developed a heavy bias towards words rather than numbers. Consequently, I speak sentences rather than solve equations. If I can solve via speech, my aim is met. The problem is about what to do in life. The solution is to live the best life you could possibly do, under circumstances. Live lightly and in the moment. 6hourism. Jai Hind from Axat.

Quotes

I don't think of the past. The only thing that matters is the everlasting present. W. Somerset Maugham Ralph Waldo Emerson - "To be yourself in a world that is constantly trying to make you something else is the greatest accomplishment."

A Cascade of Conversations.

It is a convenience to not have to type a datestamp, so I waste a line on it. The conversation I had with Mr. Malik was hurried; if its depth were to be mapped by sonar, it would be very irregular. The air time was pretty evenly divided, I think, although I know my egotistical thought process gives me way more credit than I'm due for. Still, no, wait, not still, I also committed a grave error of leaving out a person from my life history, despite saying in the same conversation, at a different point of time, words to the effect that a nurtured grievance tends to intensify negatively over time. I hope I have not slipped up too badly. Mahak pressed the red button when I called right now. With Mum, I knew in my heart she knew I was going to be serious about Mahak. Hence, at an opportunistic moment was exploited to full advantage, meaning no negativity whatsoever, and Mum accepted the news with good humor; I think her apprehensions are going to wait till December. Now, I have two things...

Money

By Pink Floyd Excellent song. The lyrics pertain to (most probably) the group's experience itself. As such, it is funny and humorous, poking fun at the system of media barons and "chart" economics.  I relate to it even more these days, when all I need is money. I am at peace, content, moksha-esque, even - but I do need money for subsistence. Which reminds me , how do I monetize my writings? Time to fire up the Vaio.
