Ironheart Review - It's NOT The Next Iron Man

Nor is it supposed to be

Excelsior! I am Axat the Marveler, and this is my review of the last Phase 5 show, Iron Heart

I want to say I like it, but it seems too rushed and the main character seems stubborn

Iron Man was stubborn too, and there are parallels drawn between both characters

Speaking of Iron Man kicking off the MCU, let me check 1 May 2008 17 years ago

A lot of time and a lot of audience saturation has happened since RDJ Junior

And now he will be back as Doctor von Doom in Avengers: Doomsday

I like the pop culture references, and Xavier’s Save Earth hoodie

But the plot moves somewhat haphazardly and conveniently

Riri always seems on the verge of tears - that’s not good

As for fighting magic with magic, “there’s a cost”

And the cost is AI NATALIE, in this case

The last episode is named the past is the past, and Sacha Baron Cohen finally appears - wow

I’ve appreciated his acting ability ever since his Ali G in Da Hood days, all the way to The Spy

His Mephisto demon uses standard devil barter to trade a soul for a favor, or a desire, actually

But as expected, Riri doesn’t fall for the trap - or does she? Overall this series is quite uneven

Spider-Man and Doctor Strange was tech side-by-side with magic, this is a combo hit - or miss

The mid-credits scene builds on the magic, but there are more loose ends than a frayed quilt

Overall, I’m just left waiting for the new Phase Six to begin with Fantastic Four - First Steps

Check out my other Marvel show reviews, Marvel movie reviews, not really breakdowns

But more about fandom and appreciation of imagination, I am Axat once again

Thank you so much for watching, Namaste

Quotes

I don't think of the past. The only thing that matters is the everlasting present. W. Somerset Maugham Ralph Waldo Emerson - "To be yourself in a world that is constantly trying to make you something else is the greatest accomplishment."

A Cascade of Conversations.

It is a convenience to not have to type a datestamp, so I waste a line on it. The conversation I had with Mr. Malik was hurried; if its depth were to be mapped by sonar, it would be very irregular. The air time was pretty evenly divided, I think, although I know my egotistical thought process gives me way more credit than I'm due for. Still, no, wait, not still, I also committed a grave error of leaving out a person from my life history, despite saying in the same conversation, at a different point of time, words to the effect that a nurtured grievance tends to intensify negatively over time. I hope I have not slipped up too badly. Mahak pressed the red button when I called right now. With Mum, I knew in my heart she knew I was going to be serious about Mahak. Hence, at an opportunistic moment was exploited to full advantage, meaning no negativity whatsoever, and Mum accepted the news with good humor; I think her apprehensions are going to wait till December. Now, I have two things...

Money

By Pink Floyd Excellent song. The lyrics pertain to (most probably) the group's experience itself. As such, it is funny and humorous, poking fun at the system of media barons and "chart" economics.  I relate to it even more these days, when all I need is money. I am at peace, content, moksha-esque, even - but I do need money for subsistence. Which reminds me , how do I monetize my writings? Time to fire up the Vaio.
